Jacob O’Conner joins DeFur Voran LLP

DeFur Voran LLP announces the addition of its newest associate, Jacob D. O’Conner, to the firm’s Muncie office. Jacob graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration.  After working for a couple of years in the amateur sports world, he returned to school and graduated cum laude from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2019. Jacob grew up in Delaware County and graduated from Cowan High School in 2009. Jacob participated on Ball State’s baseball team as a bullpen catcher and manager. Jacob spent almost a year between his junior and senior years at Ball State in Adelaide, South Australia, where he worked in the front office of the Adelaide Bite of the Australian Baseball League, a subsidiary of Major League Baseball. During law school, Jacob was a student fellow for the Ohio Innocence Project, where he was awarded the Clarence Elkins Outstanding OIP Student scholarship for demonstrating the most diligent advocacy and dedication towards client representation. He will focus his practice on business and corporate law as well as real estate and estate planning.
