Michael D. Heavilon

Michael focuses his practice on commercial litigation, resolving disputes between shareholders in both closely-held businesses and corporations. Michael has also represented clients in matters involving trade secret enforcement, employee non-compete agreements, automotive supply-chain contract disputes, and software development services agreements. Michael also has significant appellate experience on a variety of matters, including medical malpractice coverage and constitutional issues. Michael has published articles in the Indiana Law Review, the Indiana Lawyer, and the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana publications.

A Muncie native, Michael graduated from Yorktown High School before attending Miami University (Ohio), graduating in 2014 with a degree in English: Professional Writing. Michael competed on the Varsity Swim Team at Miami, where he was recognized as an Academic All-MAC Honorable Mention honoree. Michael received his J.D. from the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2018.
