Congratulations to Scott E. Shockley, Matthew L. Kelsey, Maura Hoff, and Jarryd Anglin who have been named to the Indiana Super Lawyers list for 2019.  Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding attorneys from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of professional achievement and peer recognition.  The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Attorneys selected as Super Lawyers represent the top 5% of lawyers in each state.  Rising Stars are attorneys who represent the top 2.5% of attorneys who are 40 years or younger and have been practicing law for less than ten years.

This is the thirteenth time since 2004 that Scott Shockley has been named to the Super Lawyers list.  He practices in the areas of Litigation, Personal Injury, Employment Law and Business Disputes.  He joined DeFur Voran in 1985, and previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Indianapolis and Chief Deputy District Attorney for Denver, Colorado.  He is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Denver School of Law.

Steven Murphy has been named to the Super Lawyers list for his work in Alternative Dispute Resolution.  This is the fifth time Murphy has been named to the Super Lawyers list. He has been with DeFur Voran since 1976 and practices primarily in the areas of Mediation, Education Law, and Municipal Law.  He is a graduate of Wabash College and Duke University School of Law.

This is the sixth consecutive selection as a Rising Star for Matt Kelsey.  He has practiced law since 2010 with DeFur Voran and concentrates his practice on Litigation, Education Law, Business Law and Estate Planning and Administration.  Kelsey graduated from Ball State University and Indiana University School of Law.

Maura Hoff has been selected as a Rising Star for the sixth consecutive year.  She joined DeFur Voran in 2017 and practices in the areas of Business, Zoning, Municipal, and Government Relations. Hoff graduated from Centre College and Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law.

This is the second time that Jarryd Anglin has been selected as a Rising Star.  He joined DeFur Voran in 2018 and concentrates his practice areas in Insurance Defense and Worker’s Compensation. Anglin graduated from Indiana University School of Law.
